The North American Lily Society Inc.
The N.A.L.S. was organized in Boston in 1946 as an outgrowth of the Lily Committee of the American Horticultural Society. It now has members in almost every state and province of North America, many countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
The South Saskatchewan Lily Society Inc. is a Regional Society of N.A.L.S. The S.S.L.S. has its own newsletter that you receive quarterly, educational opportunities; lily show and bulb sales, which help you enjoy growing and sharing knowledge on the genus Lilium.
Each year N.A.L.S. co-sponsors with one of the regional groups its Annual Meeting and International Lily Show (the Show in 2001 was held in Hamilton, Ontario). These events are held throughout the United States and Canada. They offer an excellent means of learning more about growing lilies and make many new friends as well as compete for awards.
